Fans, here's your chance to pitch to Hall of Famer Paul Molitor on Aug. 21!

Are you brave enough to show off your arm, or lack thereof, at the Mallards Speed Pitch this Friday for the opportunity to strike out Hall of Famer Paul Molitor during the MLB Alumni Game on August 21?

Madison, WI - August 3, 2009. The Madison Mallards and FM 100.5 ESPN are teaming up to give one lucky fan the opportunity to pitch to Major League Hall of Famer Paul Molitor during the Mallards/MLB Alumni Game to be played on Friday, August 21 at 7:35 p.m.

Here are the details:
-During this Friday's Mallards vs. Eau Claire Express game at the "Duck Pond," the person that records the fastest throw at the Speed Pitch located near the front entrance will win the opportunity to pitch to former Milwaukee Brewer and Minnesota Twin Paul Molitor during the Alumni Game on August 21.

-Participants will have the opportunity to throw three baseballs for only $1.
-The winner will be announced when the Speed Pitch closes in the latter innings of Friday's game, so get your throws in early!
-Mallards pitching coach Jason Immekus will be on-hand prior to Friday's game to provide support to the youngsters, the occasional pointer or two to those who ask, and tongue-in-cheek commentary to the rest!

*This promotion will ONLY be run during Friday's game.
**The Mallards are not responsible for any injuries that may occur during the promotion, so get those arms warmed up prior to arriving at the "Duck Pond."


The winner will receive:
One (1) Mallards uniform
Four (4) Duck Blind tickets good for the Friday, August 21st Alumni Game ONLY!
