Mallards form season-long partnership with the Harley-Davidson Museum

Madison, WI – May 24, 2010. Look out below! The Madison Mallards and the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee are excited to announce the Human Cannonball, David “The Bullet” Smith Jr. will return for a post-game launch on Saturday, June 5. The first 500 kids 14 and under will also receive a cape courtesy of the Harley-Davidson Museum.

This summer marks the 35th anniversary of Evel Knievel’s famous Wembley Stadium jump, and to honor the event, the Harley-Davidson Museum will have a first-of-its-kind exhibit celebrating the life of the famous stuntman, aptly named True Evel: The Amazing Story of Evel Knievel. This special exhibit will run from July 10 through September 6.

The Museum will also offer specially priced tickets available both at Mallardsbaseball.com and at the Mallards box office. Adult tickets are now $12 while children’s tickets are only $8. Children under five are always admitted free of charge.

The partnership with the Harley-Davidson Museum will result in many fun activities featured at the ballpark all summer long.

In spirit of the Evel Knievel exhibit, Maynard will wear a specially-made Evel Knievel cape as he slides down the 300 foot zip-line prior to every Mallards home game.

Moreover, Section F of the “Duck Pond” will become the “Daredevil Seating” section. In this section, 10 kids for each home game will win Evel Knievel capes to wear while they cheer on the Mallards. Kids can win this opportunity by writing a short essay on what makes them a daredevil, with the 35 best essays winning tickets to a game of that person’s choice. ENTER HERE!

The Mallards will also feature eight exciting BMX shows during games this summer for fans’ between-innings enjoyment.
