Madison, WI –June 29, 2010. Parking will be available in the Warner Park lot until such time that it is full. In previous years, the lot has been full by early afternoon. Parking in the Warner Park parking lot is free of charge. The gates open to the “Duck Pond” at 3:30pm for Saturday night’s game and the Madison Mallards recommend that everyone arrive early to help avoid parking problems.
Cars parked in Warner Park, Sherman Plaza and other nearby parking lots WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to leave those parking areas until at least 12:00 Midnight. The Madison Police Dept. keeps all lots closed until pedestrian traffic has cleared out. The Mallards will be playing a movie in the outfield after the fireworks for fans that don’t want to fight the traffic.
No overnight parking is allowed in any City Park. Vehicles will be ticketed and towed.
Except for sport utility vehicles and pick-up trucks, NO motor homes, campers, large trucks, and other RV's will be allowed in the Warner Park lot. The Northside Towne Center, located directly across the street from Warner Park, will provide parking for a fee.
Parking is available at the MATC parking lot as well. There is a shuttle available from MATC to the park & back after the fireworks. Visit the Rhythm & Booms web site for more detailed information.
Parking is available at The Northside Towne Center on a first come first served basis; no reservations are accepted. Parking is $20 per car or $80 for any vehicle requiring more than one parking space, including mobile homes and RVs.
Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods, but please respect the residents of those neighborhoods and do not park across driveways, in front of fire hydrants, etc. Please make sure that you are not blocking any emergency vehicle access that might be required in the narrower neighborhood streets. Neighborhood parking will be limited the closer you get to Warner Park. If you plan on arriving after 6 pm, you may be forced to park at least 10 blocks away, so please plan accordingly.
Parking is also available at the Dane County Regional Airport. Park your car and walk to nearby Warner Park. This lot costs $6 per vehicle, and is payable by CREDIT CARD ONLY when you exit the lot. The MATC shuttle bus service does not stop at the airport.
